What you have therefore is a self-fulfilling prophecy: because a certain school is considered THE BEST, they will be able to acquire THE BEST applicants because everyone wants to get in. In stark contrast, the latak go someplace else.
That is, of course, unless you find some way to break the cycle - intercept the prospects before they sign on the proverbial dotted line (or more literally - pay the tuition fee) and pull the wool from their eyes so they can see THE TRUTH - that they will be bright shining stars wherever they go and that the school needs THEM more than they need the school.
