Medical Negligence

Hello everyone

My wife recently delivered our first baby, the delivery was normal unfortunantely my wife had to go thru a terrible process during and after labor. After the baby came out the doctor in charge told me my wife had some sort of bleeding which resulted for her to loose a huge amount of blood although it was a normal delivery not CS.

At first, The doctor wasnt sure what caused it, but the doctor told me they suspect it was a needle used by the nurse which was left inside her when they were stitching her tear. My wife went thru 2 operations just so they can check if there was a needle ccausing her bleeding. after the last operation the found the needle inside her and it was removed but this made my wife weak and had to stay in the hosp for a  couple of days for observation. The doctor told us she needed 4units of blood for the operation.

I would like to ask if this can be grounds for medical negligence and probably sue the doctor or the nurse who did the operation?

I am not a medical person but I need advice regarding this matter. My wife's life was put in danger because of their negligence and had to stay in the hospital for a number of days which resulted for our medical expenses to rise. all thou everything should been normal.
